IFAP/SIA Strategic Partnership Launch & Christmas Cocktail Function

The Industrial Foundation for Accident Prevention (IFAP) and the Safety Institute of Australia Ltd (SIA) are set to launch their strategic partnership on Wednesday 26 November 2014. This follows the meeting of the IFAP and SIA Boards in June 2014, where they agreed that their values and goals have a great deal in common.

Acting Managing Director of IFAP, Mr Mark Small, said “the SIA and IFAP have a shared commitment to building safer, healthier workplaces by creating awareness, engaging their memberships, and ensuring the competency of the OHS profession”. He said “ensuring that the industry has quality education and information is one of the significant commonalities between IFAP and SIA”.

Chief Executive Officer of SIA, Mr David Clarke, said that “both organisations have a shared commitment to the development of knowledge and standards within the industry, and we look forward to working together to achieve those goals”. “Combining the efforts of our two organisations, which have both served the industry for over 50 years, will provide improved outcomes for our members as well as healthier and safer workplaces across Australia”, he said.
