Welshpool-based Perth Petroleum Services has struck a merger deal with Melbourne-based Global Spill Control, creating Australia’s largest retailer and manufacturer of spill equipment.
The merged companies will trade under the Global Spill Control name, but retain their existing headquarters and management teams.
The business will continue to be operated by Perth Petroleum Services' Matthew Baldock and Brad Lowson, together with Robert Watson, the existing owner of Global Spill Control.
“Matt and I have been waiting for the opportunity to become more involved in activities on the east coast and see this merge as a great way to achieve that. Our team will continue to operate as usual, maintaining existing working relationships and delivering the high quality service our customers have come to expect from us,” Mr Lowson said in a statement.
Welshpool-based PPS has had a long relationship with GSC, with PPS acting as GSC’s distributor in northern and western Australia, while GSC supplied the markets of the east coast.
GSC has manufacturing facilities in Melbourne as well as warehouses in Melbourne, Sydney, Tuggerah, Brisbane and Townsville.
