Hawaiian founding managing director Brett Wilkins has been appointed senior director, capital markets by Lease Equity.
Most recently Mr Wilkins was executive director, real estate services for EY's Perth office, a role he held for four and a half years.
Prior to his tenure at EY, Mr Wilkins spent two years as director, agency & insolvency property services at Colliers International.
After ten years with agency Jones Lang Wooton (now JLL), advancing to the position of national director of agency, Mr Wilkins joined Hawaiian as managing director in 1993.
He served at the helm of Hawaiian for seven years, as the company grew from an initial investment of $10 million to a $1 billion portfolio of property and developments.
After leaving that position he co-founded Pro Property in 2001 with Paul Rogers and John Langdon.
Pro Property became part of the global firm Coldwell Banker in 2005.
Media agency OMD WA has appointed Paula Cameron as connections strategy director. Ms Cameron recently headed Marketforce’s consumer planning and strategy division under a 12-month maternity leave contract. She was strategy director for Mitchell & Partners (now Carat) from 2008 to 2012, before running her own marketing consultancy.
The Peel Development Commission has appointed Andrew Ward as chief executive officer. Mr Ward was most recently director, community services for the City of Karratha, but had overseen a number of different departments during his time there. He also has local government experience with the Shire of Roebourne and City of Bayswater.
The Australian Institute of Company Directors has appointed Jody Nunn state manager, WA. Ms Nunn was previously senior manager, corporate communications at Lotterywest, where she worked for nearly 8 years. She has experience as a marketing and communications manager for ScreenWest, the Victoria & Albert Museum, and the Perth International Arts Festival.
Platform Communications founder and director Kirsty Danby has been appointed a governor of the Petroleum Club of WA. Ms Danby currently sits on the boards of the WA Mining Club, SolarisCare, and AOG’s diversity and inclusion committee. Prior to founding Platform, she worked in communications consulting roles for BHP Billiton, Alcoa and Woodside.
The Australian Institute of Management WA has appointed Suzanne Ardagh as director of its executive education joint venture with the University of Western Australia Business School. Ms Ardagh was previously head of international education at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, a position she had held for the past two years. Prior to that role she was AICD’s division manager, WA from 2007 to 2014.
Irdi Legal has appointed Craig James as senior property lawyer. Mr James was formerly principal, deceased estate administration for Slater & Gordon Perth. He was a partner of Gibson & Gibson from 1985 until the firm’s acquisition by Slater & Gordon in 2013. Mr James served as president of Rowing WA for 17 years and was awarded Medal of the Order of Australia for his services to the sport.
