David Hunt

David Hunt was a director of the former Synergy and was chief executive of New Zealand-based Contact Energy. He is a current director of Concept Consulting Group. Mr Hunt led a range of consulting assignments for government agencies and companies in the electricity and gas sectors, with a strong emphasis on economic analysis. Prior to his involvement with energy businesses, Mr Hunt held a number of senior roles with the NZ Government including as energy policy manager at the NZ Treasury and as economic adviser to the Minister of Finance. He holds a BA Hons (First Class) in Economics and a BA in Statistics, both from Massey University.
